Map Book

2022: An ongoing project; a book to crawl across, to lay upon, to read close up or observe topologically. The prototype for the map can also be used to navigate the map itself in a self-realizing practice. Photographs were printing on pieces of canvas that 2’x3’ in size. Other tiles/pieces were delicate pieces of synthetic vellum, or found canvas that had been gessoed or sewn back together. Once stitched together, the unfolded book laid at approximately 8’x12’.

2023 update: the pages of this book have been disassembled to be used as material and support for paintings and drawings. The prototype remains, through photos, words, and experience. For another time to be reassembled or reconsidered.
