Ceramic Chairs Project 2022:

During the spring of 2022, I longed to make ceramic pieces that I or another could potentially occupy; to sit on or use. In bringing fabric and threads to the final fired pieces, I drew from a childlike sense to adorn and personalize the things around me. More expansively, I imagined these chairs, in their final form, for use by children… potentially my children, should the day ever come. These chairs are a part of building a home; a looking forward and cyclically, eventually, looking back.
